GTA 6 radio stations: six revealed, plus podcasts for the first time
Rockstar reveals six GTA VI radio stations, from Cocoteo FM to a returning Flash FM, and adds podcasts and earbuds so you can listen on foot too.
On October 8, 2026, Rockstar Games revealed the first six radio stations in GTA VI, along with two changes to how music works in the series: on-demand podcasts, and headphones and earbuds that let Jason and Lucia keep listening on foot. Rockstar calls it the biggest and most varied radio lineup the series has had.
How radio changes in GTA VI
Radio in GTA has always lived in the car: get in, pick a station, drive. GTA VI stretches that in two directions:
- Listening on foot: headphones or earbuds paired with your character's phone keep the music going once you step out of the vehicle.
- Podcasts: for the first time in the series there are on-demand shows that sit outside Leonida's regular broadcast radio, and they work in vehicles or on foot too.
Rockstar says the full dial runs from Classic Rock to Talk Radio, so these six are only a slice of it. The reveal landed the same day as the official site's new music page, which launched with three new Vice City screenshots.
The six stations at a glance
Station | Sound | Hosts |
|---|---|---|
Cocoteo FM | Modern Latin: bachata, merengue, dembow, reggaeton | El Martillo (Bad Bunny) and La Gata (RaiNao) |
Back Country Radio | Outlaw country | MW (Morgan Wallen) and Delta Dawne (Lana Del Rey) |
AfroBank FM | African music, from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step | Burna (Burna Boy) and Palmsy (Palms Trax) |
The Chamber 106.6 | Metal | DJ Kerry and DJ Tom (Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya) |
Flash FM | Pop | Robyn and Alex (Alex Consani) |
Dirty South Classics | Southern rap and hip-hop classics | Trick (Trick Daddy) and Trina |
Cocoteo FM
A Miami-inspired GTA without a big Latin station was never going to happen. Cocoteo FM covers the traditional Caribbean side (bachata, merengue) and the club side (dembow, reggaeton), which fits nicely with Rauw Alejandro being on GTA VI: The Album.

Back Country Radio
Country music beamed across the Grassrivers swamps, Port Gellhorn and the rest of rural Leonida. It also has the most Rockstar detail of the reveal: roving reporter Mud Dog Mike, who phones in from his airboat, doubles as the "swamp meteorologist" and is host Delta Dawne's not-so-secret lover.

AfroBank FM
The most unexpected pick. It spans African music from 20th-century classics and deep cuts to current sounds like amapiano and 3-step, a nod to how mixed the South Florida population that inspired Leonida really is.

The Chamber 106.6
Decades of metal. Rockstar points to Leonida's "deep metal roots", which reads as a wink at the death metal scene that grew out of the Tampa area in the late '80s.

Flash FM
The nostalgia pick. Flash FM was the pop station in GTA Vice City back in 2002, and it returns here as a Vice City "institution" playing today's pop. Like the return to Vice City itself, it's another thread tying GTA VI to that game.

Dirty South Classics
Regional rap and hip-hop classics, the sound most rooted in Miami and the wider South. It's hosted by two real Miami rap legends: Trick Daddy and Trina.

The real voices behind the hosts
Updated October 9, 2026. Interviews the artists themselves gave to music outlets confirm who voices all 13 hosts, and it's a heavyweight lineup: Bad Bunny is El Martillo on Cocoteo FM, Lana Del Rey is Delta Dawne on Back Country Radio, and The Chamber's DJ duo are Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya. Swamp reporter Mud Dog Mike is played by Jeremy Dufrene, Lana Del Rey's husband.
A few highlights from those interviews:
- Lana Del Rey said the series has a special connection to her family: relatives who arrived in Los Angeles already knew its roads from playing GTA. She also said she can't wait to play.
- Tom Araya called The Chamber 106.6 "a new metal station for players and fans who like it fast and heavy," while Kerry King described the pairing as "a true match made in Hell."
- RaiNao said Cocoteo FM reflects Puerto Rican culture, and that she was already a GTA fan.
The game's music is already charting, too: Morgan Wallen's "Last Thing You Need", from The Album, debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Where to listen, and what's still to come
Previews of all six stations are up in the Music section of the official GTA VI site. Rockstar says more is on the way, including details on the game's dynamic score and more singles from The Album, the 34-track record you can pre-save on streaming services or pre-order on vinyl and CD.
Still unknown: the total number of stations, the licensed tracklists, and whether any other classic Vice City stations make a comeback. With launch on November 19, 2026, only six weeks away, expect the rest of the dial to show up soon.
