Two days after opening the Mission Creator to everyone, Rockstar launches the Community Mission Series in GTA Online with Old School Hits, a player-made mission paying 4X GTA$ and RP from April 30 to May 6, 2026.

What is Old School Hits?

It's a tribute to three classic missions from the original Grand Theft Auto trilogy: three hits on high-profile targets. It was built by the team behind GTA Series Videos, the long-running YouTube channel devoted to the series, using the new Rockstar Mission Creator. It's only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Enhanced), and you start it from the corona in Legion Square. Finishing it completes the Weekly Challenge for GTA$100,000.

Rockstar says May will bring another event focused on community races, and that more player-made missions will join the series.

Our take

Old School Hits is worth playing for the nostalgia alone, and at 4X it's also the best-paying mission of the week. It's a good showcase of what the Mission Creator can do — and Rockstar has made clear it will spotlight more creations if you build your own. With Open Wheel cars discounted and their races at triple pay, it's also a good time to give that category a go.
