From that day, members could download it at no extra charge on the console where their membership is active, and Rockstar said the library would also reach compatible iOS and Android devices.
A cult classic
Bully launched in 2006 on PlayStation 2 (titled Canis Canem Edit in Europe) and is one of the studio’s best-loved games outside the GTA series. You play Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious teenager dumped at Bullworth Academy, a boarding school as run-down as it is corrupt. The goal is to survive the school year and take over the place along the way: stand up to bullies, outwit teachers, pull pranks and get into trouble off campus too, around the town of Bullworth.
There are classes that play as minigames, cliques to win over (nerds, jocks, preppies, greasers…) and Rockstar’s trademark biting humour, scaled down to high school. Nearly two decades later fans are still asking for a sequel, so its return to current consoles through a subscription was welcome news for many.
What the GTA+ Games Library is
Alongside Bully, the library offers a rotating selection of Rockstar titles to download and play for as long as your membership lasts. At the time it included L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, among others.
GTA+ also has its own GTA Online perks: an automatic monthly GTA$ deposit into your Maze Bank account, free featured vehicles, exclusive outfits and liveries, and GTA$ and RP boosts. In August 2024 the membership was only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; it didn’t reach PC until March 2025, with GTA V Enhanced.
