FiveM: Cfx.re teams up with modders to launch StreetKings racing mode

Cfx.re, Rockstar’s FiveM team, worked with two community creators to bring StreetKings to txAdmin: street races, police chases and a mini-campaign.

Rockstar's relationship with modders isn't only about bans. On July 28, 2026, Cfx.re, the FiveM team Rockstar has owned since 2023, announced it had worked with two community teams, 919DESIGN and ENVI-SCRIPTS, to bring StreetKings, a racing game mode, to its servers. It's the first project of its kind, and Cfx.re says it hopes it will be "the first of many collaborations" with its community.

StreetKings – Official Launch Trailer

What StreetKings is

It's a fully custom, self-contained street racing game mode for FiveM. Unlike most servers, which revolve around roleplay, StreetKings is a pick-up-and-play experience aimed both at players who want a few races with friends and at those chasing their own best times. According to Cfx.re's announcement, it includes:

  • A story mode mini-campaign plus free play elements.
  • Real-time multiplayer races and stunt challenges.
  • Police pursuits and dynamic AI racers.
  • Daily rotating playlists.
  • Global leaderboards and personal bests across every course and mode.

How it's installed

StreetKings ships as a txAdmin recipe. txAdmin is the tool used to set up FiveM servers, and recipes are templates that install and configure a complete server in a few steps, so anyone can spin up a fresh StreetKings server without piecing the scripts together themselves.

Why it matters

It fits everything Rockstar has done with FiveM this year. In January it opened the Cfx Marketplace so creators can sell their work, and in the months that followed, alt:V and RAGE:MP, the alternatives it didn't control, shut down at Take-Two's request. StreetKings is the other side of the coin: creators who play by the platform's rules get a showcase.

Our take

It's good news for FiveM creators and an interesting hint about GTA 6: Rockstar's platform wants more variety than roleplay, and it's willing to spotlight community projects to get it. For those who buy in, it could be a big opportunity. For those who'd rather go it alone, the room to do so keeps shrinking.
