GTA Online’s big summer update is here: The Kortz Center Heist arrived on July 14, 2026 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. This time the target isn’t a bank or a casino but the Kortz Center, the hilltop arts complex in Pacific Bluffs where Los Santos high society shows off its collection. Rockstar first revealed it on June 17 and locked in the date on July 9.

The setup

The job comes from the mysterious Mr. Faber, whose clients have expensive taste, and it’s run by his right-hand man Raf De Angelis, who talks you through it over comms. The museum’s Bell Building holds the Albert Crisp Collection, spanning antiquities to contemporary pieces, but the real prize sits in the vault: the Primary Target, a work never put on public display that rotates over time.

From there it follows the classic Rockstar heist rhythm: case the place, gather your gear, then decide how you get in and how you get out.

What you need: the Mansion Art Studio

To host the heist you’ll need to add the Art Studio expansion to your Mansion. It becomes home to Yong-Rae, a forger who paints copies of the pieces you’re after so museum staff don’t notice the swap. The studio doubles as your base: gear from prep work piles up there, and each crew member picks their own loadout for the Finale.

  • No Mansion? You can still play, but only as part of someone else’s crew.
  • It works solo or with up to three friends. Going as a group opens a Secondary Target room solo players can’t reach, and more duffel bags mean a bigger take.

Upgrades that help

Fully kitting out your Mansion pays off: the Armory adds a Mk II weapon to every loadout, the Vehicle Workshop boosts certain getaway cars, and your Security staff pull police attention during the escape, lowering your Wanted level. Properties you already own chip in too: a Bunker unlocks Special Ammo for that Mk II weapon; an Agency, the Darnell Bros. Garment Factory or a Terrorbyte buys you extra time in the vault; and an Arcade Drone Station lends you its Nano Drones.

Planning: stealth equals profit

Scouting matters more than ever. You can wander the exhibition like any other visitor, quietly photograph the paintings and study the security — guards, CCTV and laser tripwires. The longer you scout, the more entrances, escape routes and prep missions you’ll uncover, and optional disruptions can weaken or confuse the guards.

The key is the black market: art that’s known to be stolen sells for less. Leave no witnesses and wipe the CCTV, and your haul is worth more. Some fragile pieces can only be removed with the right tools, too.

Sell it or hang it

Once you’re out, you can sell the Primary Target to Mr. Faber’s clients or keep it on display in your Mansion. The museum is also packed with Secondary Targets that pad your final take, and the available pieces rotate every week, which keeps repeat runs fresh.

Rockstar has also changed how payouts work: your first sale of the week pays best, and later ones earn less. The same rule now applies to other heists like Oscar Guzman Flies Again, The Contract and The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, nudging players to rotate between activities instead of grinding just one.

New vehicles

Several new rides arrive with the heist:

  • Benefactor LRC GT (Super).
  • Grotti Cartuccia GT (Sports).
  • Albany Merula (Sedan).
  • Ocelot E-Stride (electric SUV).
  • Benefactor Läufer (Van), handy for moving the crew.
  • Vapid Caracara (Armored), the reward for clearing every Tier 4 Career Progress challenge tied to this heist (current-gen consoles and PC Enhanced only).

On top of that, 50 existing vehicles gain a missile lock-on jammer.

More tools for the Mission Creator

The update also expands the Rockstar Mission Creator with new props, character models and interiors (PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Enhanced). Creators can now build zombie survival scenarios, parkour courses with sliding and rotating props, warp points, stealth systems with disguises and cameras, and far more elaborate cutscenes. We cover it in depth in our Mission Creator article.

Still playing on PS4 or Xbox One?

Alongside the heist reveal, Rockstar made the GTA V upgrade to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S free, with progress migration. We explain it in our article on The Kortz Center Heist announcement.
