Red Dead Online January bonuses: triple pay on bounties and cheaper licenses
Red Dead Online in January 2026: 3X RDO$ on regular bounties, 2X on Legendary and Infamous, triple Manhunt and Day of Reckoning, plus weekly rewards.

From January 6 to February 2, 2026, bringing in outlaws pays 3X RDO$, Role XP and XP on regular bounties and 2X RDO$, Gold and XP on Legendary and Infamous Bounties. It runs for four weeks rather than one, so there's room to grind the role at your own pace.

Both Bounty Hunter Free Roam Events — Manhunt, where you chase several targets at once, and Day of Reckoning, a mass arrest — pay triple too. Taking part in either at any point this month unlocks the Gable Charm.
Weekly rewards
Each week also comes with a specific goal and a prize attached:
- January 6–12: finish three Bounty Missions for the San Luis Shore Treasure Map.
- January 13–19: clear all your Bounty Hunter Daily Challenges for 40% off an Established or Distinguished role item.
- January 20–26: three more Bounty Missions earn 50% off a weapon.
- January 27–February 2: players at Rank 50 or above get the Torranca Coat just for logging in.
Turning in a Legendary Bounty also unlocks the Harshaw Gauntlets, while Bounty Hunters at Rank 25 or higher who play this month receive the white Clairborn Coat.
Triple-paying Featured Series
The rotating Featured Series pays 3X RDO$ and XP all month: Hardcore Pro Series (January 6–12), Shootout Series (13–19), Hardcore Last Stand (20–26) and Contrast Series (January 27–February 2). Win any of them for the black Morales Vest.
Discounts for new Bounty Hunters
If you never picked up the role, this is a good month to start: the Bounty Hunter License and the Prestigious Bounty Hunter License are 5 Gold Bars cheaper. Outfits, the Bounty Hunter Wagon and its tints, Breton and Work horses, shotguns and shotgun customization are 40% off, and bolas and throwing knives are half price.
The Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue also brings back the Gator Hat, Strickland Boots, Tied Pants, Irwin and Clymene Coats and Shaffer Chaps for a limited time.
Is it worth playing?
Yes, especially if your Bounty Hunter rank is only halfway there. Triple pay on regular bounties is the standout, since they're short and easy to chain, and the cheaper Prestigious License lowers the bar for Infamous Bounties. If you can only play one week, make it January 20–26: 50% off a weapon is the most useful weekly reward of the month.
