Instead of one mixed series there are now two themed playlists, and featured creators finally get an exclusive reward.
Two series instead of one
- Community Race Series: races only, the community's best tracks, keeping groups together to jump straight into the next one. It launched on Thursday, August 7.
- Community Combat Series: Deathmatches, King of the Hill, Survivals and other combat modes, alternating with the race series in later weeks.
The original mixed series isn't going away — it returns during seasonal events — and Rockstar promises new Jobs will rotate in frequently.

A reward for creators
Every creator featured in any Community Series, including those featured before this change, receives the R Community Series Varsity*, an extremely rare jacket. Find it under Tops > Bomber Jackets in your wardrobe.

How to get your Job featured
Rockstar's advice, in short:
- Make it fun: a simple idea done well beats a complicated one.
- Be original: take inspiration, but don't copy another creator or reference other entertainment properties directly.
- Level the field: consider locking races to a single vehicle.
- No exploits: use the Creator as intended.
- Keep it moving: avoid long rounds — in a Sumo-style Job, set the Out of Area Timer to Instant.
- Tag your Job with #communityseries so it shows up in the Jobs showcase and on social media.
What's new in the Creator
Recent updates added forced aim options (Partial Aim Assist and Free Aim) to every Creator, prep time between waves, zombie enemy squads in the Survival Creator, and snow and Halloween weather. For questions and feedback, Rockstar points to the #creator-tools channel on its Discord and the GTA Online Feedback Portal.
Why it matters
It was the first step in a clear push toward community content that led, months later, to the Rockstar Mission Creator opening to everyone and to big creator-focused events like the Community Series Showcase. Splitting races from combat also fixes a common complaint: mixed playlists forced you through modes you didn't care about.
