GTA Online announces luxury mansions: A Safehouse in the Hills lands December 10
Rockstar reveals A Safehouse in the Hills for GTA Online: Prix Luxury mansions, an AI assistant, a surveillance-themed story and the new Mission Creator.
On November 20, 2025, Rockstar gave the first glimpse of GTA Online’s winter update: A Safehouse in the Hills, bringing luxury mansions to Los Santos’ most exclusive neighbourhoods. On December 5 the date followed: December 10, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
What we knew about the mansions
Real estate firm Prix Luxury Real Estate is behind the new properties, with sprawling grounds, sweeping views and every amenity. Rockstar previewed these details:
- An AI Assistant for personal and business tasks, able to give your businesses Production Boosts.
- Trophy Cabinets, a private Salon, pet Kennels and a new showroom-lit Garage.
- Optional Private Security to protect your profits.
- Premium upgrades such as an indoor Car Podium, an Armory or a Vehicle Workshop.
It even launched a fictional agency website, prixluxuryrealestate.com, to browse the listings ahead of launch.

Beyond the house
- A new story about stopping a mass surveillance network, playable without buying a mansion.
- The return of a familiar face, kept under wraps.
- New cars, some Hao’s Special Works-compatible, the missile lock-on jammer on more vehicles (including unarmed aircraft), police vehicles, drift variants and Freemode events.
- A Mission Creator for every version of the game, with tools to design and publish your own missions.

Among the confirmed cars was the Vapid FMJ MK V, the latest generation of Vapid’s supercar, with a week of early access for GTA+ members.
Getting ready
Ahead of launch, Rockstar rewarded players who completed the New Listings missions with a GTA$2,000,000 mansion discount and other perks until December 7. Our take: with mansions set to become the flagship property, the smart move was to reach December 10 with cash saved and that discount locked in.
What happened next
The update launched on December 10. We cover the three mansions, the returning character and the new story in our article on the A Safehouse in the Hills launch.
