GTA Online: Mansion Raid is a new Adversary Mode about storming mansions
Mansion Raid pits attackers against defenders in a luxury GTA Online mansion. How its three stages work, plus tips for winning on either side.
Mansions arrived in GTA Online with A Safehouse in the Hills, and now they’re a battleground too. Since January 15, 2026, Mansion Raid has been available: an Adversary Mode where one team storms a Los Santos luxury home to empty its vault while the other tries to stop them. It debuted as part of that week’s Featured Series.
How it works: three stages
1. Take out the security
Once inside the grounds, the attackers must plant explosives to shut down the security systems. You can charge in, but moving from cover to cover is the safer bet. The defenders, meanwhile, need to defuse those charges fast. Every time the attackers blow a charge and knock out part of the security, they earn 30 extra seconds on the clock.

2. Push down to the vault
With the defenses offline, the attackers head for the basement vault. This part is all close-quarters fighting through corridors and rooms, and defenders who know the layout have a real edge.

3. Get out with the gold
With the gold bars in the duffel bag, the attackers have to make it back outside — either retracing their steps while security is still down or fighting their way out as a team. It’s the defenders’ last chance to cut off the escape.

Tips for each side
Attacking:
- Time is your scarcest resource: each detonated charge adds 30 seconds, so prioritise the explosives over kills.
- Move as a group. A lone attacker in a corridor is easy prey for players who know the house.
- Plan your exit before heading down — once you’re carrying the gold, every second of hesitation counts.
Defending:
- Defusing a charge is worth more than a kill: every one that goes off hands the other team more time.
- Use your knowledge of the floorplan: corners, doorways and stairs are your best friends up close.
- Keep someone back for the escape; a team that reaches the vault can still be stopped on the way out.
If you don’t own a mansion yet, our article on A Safehouse in the Hills explains what these properties offer.
