GTA Online announces Money Fronts: laundering through front businesses from June 17

Rockstar reveals Money Fronts for GTA Online: Hands On Car Wash, Smoke on the Water, Higgins Helitours, the new Heat system and the confirmed vehicles.

On the evening of June 11, 2025 (New York time), Rockstar announced GTA Online’s summer update: Money Fronts, arriving June 17 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The pitch: take over San Andreas’ biggest money laundering operation using front businesses GTA V fans know well.

Martin Madrazo and some new advisors

It starts with Martin Madrazo, a long-time associate of GTA Online players, who will put you in touch with new advisors to build the laundering network and blend dirty cash with legitimate income. Rockstar didn’t reveal who they’d be.

The front businesses

  • Hands On Car Wash (Strawberry): the car wash is your entry point and the heart of the operation, drawing passive income from your criminal network.
  • Smoke on the Water: a “prescription” cannabis dispensary that also boosts your Weed Farm earnings.
  • Higgins Helitours: a helicopter tour company that lifts your Air Freight Cargo business.

The Heat system

Illegal dealings will generate Heat. If it climbs too high, you’ll need to cool things down by playing the honest business owner and running the legit side of the operation to keep your passive income flowing. It’s a new mechanic for GTA Online that makes you balance the legal and the illegal.

Confirmed vehicles

  • Karin Everon RS and Karin Woodlander (SUVs).
  • Declasse Tampa GT (Muscle).
  • Western Police Bike, a police motorcycle for Dispatch Work that comes with the Summer Highway Patrol Outfit.
  • Överflöd Suzume, a supercar with early access for GTA+ members.

Announced improvements

  • Missile lock-on jammer on 50 more vehicles.
  • Skippable cutscenes on mission replays.
  • Arena Points doubled from every source.
  • In public sessions, the global signal on sell missions kicks in later, and the Boxville van no longer appears in Biker sell missions.

Our take

A business that plugs into ones you already own (weed and air freight) is a smart way to give old properties new value, and Heat promises a bit more management than the usual “buy and wait”. If you already had those businesses, it paid to reach June 17 with cash for the car wash.
