The Chop Shop is all about stealing, stripping and selling the most sought-after cars in Southern San Andreas, and it brings back a fan-favourite from Liberty City: Yusuf Amir, the flamboyant property developer from The Ballad of Gay Tony, now set up on the West Coast.
The business: a salvage yard front
Behind the shabby front of Red's Auto Parts sits the new Salvage Yard business. After Yusuf’s call you can pick from five locations, from Paleto Bay to central Strawberry.
Once you’ve stolen a vehicle you have two choices: strip it on the workshop lifts for parts over time, or cash in straight away by delivering it undamaged to the docks, where it’s shipped off to Yusuf in a container. Optional upgrades include trade rates (discounts on Mors Mutual requests and body shop repairs) and a tow truck for hauling in delinquent vehicles as an extra source of parts.

The robberies
Yusuf’s cousin Jamal runs the jobs from the yard’s planning wall. The target car rotates weekly and is easy to spot thanks to its custom plate. Each robbery follows the same pattern: scouting, preps, Freemode tasks and a high-speed finale. Expect disguises, undercover work, hacking and chases where split-second calls matter.
They also come with their own Daily Challenges, awards and Career Progress goals on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

New vehicles
The headliner is the Grotti Turismo Omaggio, a supercar paying tribute to the V8. Joining it are the Fathom FR36, a drift-friendly coupe; the Declasse Impaler LX, an eighties muscle car; the Karin Asterope GZ sedan; the surprisingly quick Karin Vivanite minivan; the Vapid Dominator GT convertible; the Vapid Aleutian SUV with Imani Tech upgrades; and the Declasse Vigero ZX Convertible.
For the first time you can also own police vehicles: the Vapid Stanier LE Cruiser, Police Riot and Unmarked Cruiser unlock by evading wanted levels and completing salvage yard robberies.

Drift Races
Drift Races arrive: the winner isn’t the first across the line but whoever racks up the most drift points, with bonuses for precision and finishing position. Chaining corners builds your multiplier, but clipping a lamppost can wipe it. Races take place in seven Los Santos spots such as Legion Square, Vespucci Beach and Mirror Park, and drift kits are fitted at the LS Car Meet on the Fathom FR36 and seven other models.

Wildlife, the Battle Rifle and more
- Animals in Freemode on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, across land, sea and sky.
- The Battle Rifle, a precision rifle sold at the Gun Van and your Agency armory.
- GTA+ debuted The Vinewood Club Garage, with room for 100 vehicles.
- Improvements for everyone: a streamlined Interaction Menu, more LS Car Meet rep for Pursuit and Street Races, a service to buy copies of another player’s car (PS4, Xbox One and PC), console voice chat off by default and a small gift on your character’s birthday.
- Rockstar began testing voice chat moderation on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Police vehicles took centre stage again months later with Officer Vincent Effenburger in The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, and this update’s Stanier LE Cruiser and Unmarked Cruiser also work for his Dispatch Work.
