It didn’t have an official name yet, but the idea was clear: steal, strip and sell the most sought-after cars in Los Santos. It also landed in the middle of Rockstar Games’ 25th anniversary celebrations, with limited-time commemorative apparel.
Yusuf Amir moves to Los Santos
The job comes from a familiar Liberty City face: Yusuf Amir, the flamboyant property developer from The Ballad of Gay Tony (GTA IV), still obsessed with collecting luxury imports. With help from his cousin Jamal, you’ll plan high-stakes robberies out of Red's Auto Parts, a buyable salvage yard acting as your front.
Every stolen car gives you two options: sell the best ones to Yusuf, or strip them for parts.

Drift Races
A new drift tuning kit arrives for select vehicles, fitted at the LS Car Meet and usable in Freemode too, along with a Drift Race series on new circuits.

New on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
- Wildlife roaming Southern San Andreas.
- The Vinewood Club Garage for GTA+ members, holding 100 vehicles.
- Managing your car collection and moving vehicles between garages from the Interaction Menu.
Improvements on every platform
- A streamlined Interaction Menu.
- Voice chat on consoles is now off by default.
- More LS Car Meet rep in Pursuit and Street Race series.
- A new LS Car Meet service to buy copies of another player’s car (PS4, Xbox One and PC).
- Custom tags for each floor of the Eclipse Blvd Garage.
- A small birthday gift on your character’s birthday.
Our take
Bringing back Yusuf Amir is a treat for GTA IV fans, and car theft fits the series’ roots perfectly. The improvements — especially copying cars and voice chat off by default — answered long-standing community requests. All of this arrived as anticipation for the first GTA VI trailer was at its peak.
