GTA+ opens The Vinewood Car Club, a members-only showroom

The Vinewood Car Club arrived in GTA Online on June 13, 2023: cars to test and use in Freemode, discounted purchases and GTA+'s monthly free vehicle.

On June 13, 2023, alongside San Andreas Mercenaries, GTA+ opened its first dedicated space in GTA Online: The Vinewood Car Club, a showroom exclusive to members on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar announced it on June 9.

What it is

It's the first venue of The Vinewood Club, the brand Rockstar has since used for all GTA+ perks. It sits inside an unassuming industrial warehouse on Elysian Island, with a garage built to show off cars and a lit podium.

Members can:

  • Test drive a rotating selection of vehicles.
  • Use them in Freemode, either by picking one up or ordering it via the Interaction Menu.
  • Buy them at an exclusive discount.
  • View and claim GTA+'s free monthly vehicle right there.

Non-members can still walk in and admire the cars on the podium.

What came next

Rockstar said the club was just “a taste of what's to come”, and it delivered: December 2023 brought the 100-vehicle Vinewood Club Garage, then the Vinewood Club app for managing businesses remotely, and in 2024 access to Hao's Special Works and Benny's from its workshop. Today the club is where every monthly free car is claimed, as in our GTA+ roundups.

Our verdict

The Vinewood Car Club was the moment GTA+ stopped being just “monthly cash and discounts” and gained a physical presence in the game. It's most useful for testing cars before buying and driving vehicles you don't own, though it remains a paid perk — and, at launch, current-gen only (it reached PC in 2025).
