On July 7, 2021, Rockstar revealed Red Dead Online's summer update: Blood Money, arriving on July 13 and taking players into Saint Denis' underworld in the service of Guido Martelli, right-hand man to Red Dead Redemption 2 mob boss Angelo Bronte.

The story: recovering Capitale

Martelli wants back the Capitale, private bonds the Bronte family devised for its more sensitive dealings away from the taxman, which have ended up scattered among outlaws across the map. Return them and he'll open the door to better-paying work. Best of all for players: no upfront investment — just a sidearm and the willingness to use it.

Crimes and Opportunities

  • Crimes: handed out by Martelli's contacts, ranging from stagecoach holdups to multi-stage robberies, kidnappings and debt collections. Play them solo or with a posse, and look for Capitale in chests or on fallen enemies.
  • Opportunities: enough Capitale unlocks bigger jobs aimed at a Lemoyne senator, stealing the three Jewels of the West. The first was due July 13, with two more to follow.

The Quick Draw Club

Blood Money introduced a new pass system: the Quick Draw Club, four short, consecutive passes of 25 ranks for 25 Gold Bars each — earned back by completing them. The first included Dutch's Redcliff Outfit, a Cattleman Revolver variant and clothing. Buying all four unlocked the Halloween Pass 2 for free.
