For GTA V's tenth anniversary in September 2023, GTA Online gave away outfits inspired by its leads, themed weapon finishes and bonuses on classic missions.

GTA V launched on September 17, 2013. Ten years later it was still among the best-selling games around and its online mode was still getting updates, and Rockstar marked the milestone on September 14, 2023 with a tribute week in GTA Online.

Rockstar's message

Rockstar thanked players for keeping the game alive across multiple console generations and for letting GTA Online grow over a decade, with a special nod to everyone who has played, streamed, roleplayed, created or shared from the world of Los Santos and Blaine County.

Ten years on

Few games have stayed at the top for so long. GTA V has run on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, PC and current-gen consoles, and as late as 2025 it got GTA V Enhanced on PC. Less than two months after this anniversary, Rockstar announced the first trailer for the next GTA — the successor players had waited a decade for.
