Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer

The final stretch has begun. On October 15, 2026, Rockstar Games released the launch trailer for GTA VI, a little over five weeks before the game hits PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. It runs roughly 90 seconds and comes with a musical surprise: “Flower in a Hurricane”, a new Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Trailer number three, nearly three years after the first

This is the game’s third official trailer. Trailer 1 landed in December 2023, opening with Lucia in prison and confirming the return to Vice City. Trailer 2 followed in May 2025 and shifted the spotlight onto the two leads. In between, the deepest look at the game so far was An Extended Look, the long-form video that premiered on Netflix in August.

A launch trailer has a different job. It isn’t there to reveal new systems — it sets the mood ahead of release. Rockstar pairs it with the familiar premise: Jason and Lucia have always known the odds are against them, and when a supposedly easy job falls apart they get pulled into a criminal conspiracy that spans the entire state of Leonida, where the only way out is to lean on each other harder than ever.

Watch it on Rockstar Games’ YouTube channel or on the official GTA VI site.

Justice are scoring GTA VI

The biggest takeaway isn’t in the footage — it’s in the credits. Rockstar confirms that French electronic duo Justice composed the original score for GTA VI: the music written for the game itself, which backs missions and cutscenes, as opposed to the licensed and original songs you’ll hear on the radio.

It’s a natural fit. Justice’s retro, synth-heavy sound lines up neatly with the neon-and-sunset look the series has been leaning on since Vice City in 2002. And there’s more coming: Rockstar says further news on the music of GTA VI is on the way, including an official score album.

GTA VI’s music so far, at a glance

With today’s news, the game’s soundtrack now has three clearly defined pillars:

  • The Album: 34 original tracks from artists including Travis Scott, Rauw Alejandro, Morgan Wallen and Keith Richards — and now Justice.
  • The radio: the first six stations, plus podcasts for the first time in the series and the option to keep listening on foot with headphones.
  • The score: Justice’s original music, which is getting its own album.

Counting down to November 19

The date is holding: GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, after two delays. A launch trailer this close to release is about as strong a signal as Rockstar can send that this one is sticking. If you haven’t locked in your copy yet, pre-orders are open.
