A hidden gift on West Coast Classics
To mark a decade hosting classic hip-hop station West Coast Classics, DJ Pooh hid a special mix of the album somewhere in Los Santos: players had to call the station for clues, and listen out for shout-outs from the DJ's famous friends.
The same day also brought SOUTHSIDE by BEAM and Cardo, the track from The Chop Shop trailer, which samples Take A Daytrip's Import/Export score.
Grand Theft Auto Radio on Spotify
A month earlier, on November 14, Rockstar had launched Grand Theft Auto Radio on Spotify, a personalised playlist mixing songs from every station in the series — from Vice City's Flash FM to GTA IV's The Beat 102.7 and GTA Online's updates — based on each listener's tastes.

Why it matters
GTA Online's mission score — the music behind heists and chases — rarely gets the attention of the in-game radio stations, yet it's one of the most carefully crafted parts of every update. This album gives it a life of its own, and it landed as Rockstar was back in the spotlight: ten days earlier it had released GTA VI's first trailer, whose soundtrack would eventually get its own album.
