Cayo Perico Series
It plays like any other series, launched from Quick Join or the map, and paid 2X GTA$ and RP in its launch week. Logging in also unlocked the Keinemusik Cayo Perico Tee. Until then the island was mostly associated with the heist; this series began turning it into a stage for other modes.
Buried Stashes
The other new addition that week was Buried Stashes. On the beaches of Los Santos you can find a metal detector and a map pointing to hidden caches on Cayo Perico; finding them while scoping the island pays GTA$ and RP.

Declasse Draugur and cargo bonuses
- The Declasse Draugur, a bare-bones extreme off-roader, went on sale at Southern San Andreas Super Autos (with a free Gray Yeti Flat Cap that week).
- For CEOs, Special Cargo sourcing costs were halved, warehouses were 30% off, and completing a Source Cargo mission paid GTA$150,000.
Why it matters
The Cayo Perico Series was the first step in something Rockstar has repeated since: reusing the island map for competitive modes. It was followed by Assault on Cayo Perico in 2023, and Motor Wars and the zombie Survival in 2025. Buried Stashes, meanwhile, have paid more since the 2023 improvements.
